About backlink-guard

A command line tool and agent skill for vetting link sources before you submit to them. It checks a link source, verifies the link after it goes live, and audits your own backlinks for link spam patterns. Further commands find where you should appear, show the links your competitors earned and their earliest links, and report where AI answers come from by listing which pages get cited and what AI assistants answer to given questions. Rules the tool assumes are documented, and optional keys add ratings, visits, index status and spam scores for the sites under review, so several candidate sites can be checked in one run. Aimed at people doing directory submission and link building, and its own tests report how many known spam sites it kept off a submit list. Released under the MIT license and published on PyPI, the official MCP Registry and skills.sh.
