An MCP server and command line tool that connects Claude, Cursor or any MCP compatible AI client directly to live Semrush data, aimed at turning an AI assistant into an SEO analyst. It covers keyword research, domain analytics, keyword difficulty, SERP analysis, backlink analysis and competitor intelligence. A Semrush API key is needed. Setup guides cover installation, a separate walkthrough for people on macOS who are not developers, and connection steps for Claude Desktop, Cursor and other MCP clients such as Windsurf and Cline. The roadmap lists keyword gap analysis between domains, site audit and project tools and a full traffic and audience suite. MIT licensed and free to use. Prompts to ask your AI assistant are suggested, and the command line has its own usage section for running the same queries from a terminal.
