About SerpApi Ruby Library

A Ruby gem for SerpApi that scrapes and parses results from Google, Bing, Baidu, Yandex, Yahoo, eBay and more. It is deprecated in favour of the newer serpapi-ruby gem, which parses JSON into a Ruby Hash through the standard JSON library. This older gem still documents the quick start, how to set the private API key, searches for Google plus images and news, and the location, search archive and account APIs. Example scripts print shopping results ordered by review order with position, and the project keeps a test suite built with RSpec and continuous integration. The version history lists added engines such as YouTube, DuckDuckGo, Home Depot and Walmart. Released under the MIT license. Existing users should plan the move to the replacement gem.
